Lyrics & Music: Edgar Ricardo Arjona Morales
Intro It all began one Monday in September. The size of the break took twenty-four hours to digest. When it got to Tuesday and night fell, the ghosts of absence began to take control of everything. While dreams disintegrated, the ghosts multiplied. Laughter like a thing of the past, tears like overflowed rain. Learning to live with company was to refuse to live in loneliness. The air gets dense, the days get long and nights are hells of insomnia and melancholy. So many Tuesdays, so many Septembers and only that one, a date like any other, marked the beginning of an end in breaks. That day, what was ending began. |
Apnea | Apnoea |
A century fits into this Tuesday night. You hurt more than the worst pain that was invented. The mirror throws reproachful darts. Today what has already ended begins Hope threw itself out of the window. Insomnia stayed to live here. Yesterday left everything for tomorrow And tomorrow, whenever it may be, I already left Chorus: I cannot manage to breathe. I have apnoea since the day on which you were not around. I am falling to the bottom of the sea Clawing the bubble that you are not in. Impossible to breathe. The oxygen left this place I give you this song of despair Lacklustre like Monday afternoon. Paralysed, I plummet to the bottom And I do not even have the courage to be a coward Chorus In a hurry to surrender and give up Spiral descent, depth Amnesia from fighting to breathe The desire to accept defeat in loneliness Oxygen hitting a wall My pulse stumbling without radar Heart coming to a stop at its mercy Dying will be better than remembering Chorus |
